About the Original "Rot Doctor" - Colin Vale (Director)
Colin has been in the building industry since 1980 and completed a three year city and guild apprenticeship in his home town of Leicester.
In 1990 after working for several large companies he started his own company which he ran for 20 years employing 12 guys and was the Leicester branch president of the Painting and Decorating Association for several years until 2010 when he came to New Zealand originally to work for Repair Repair care as their National Technical manager and was involved in putting together the Repair Care national training program which is run through the Resene network of trade centres.
“I started using Repair Care around the start of the millennium because I wanted to provide my customers with the best quality job I could and was getting frustrated with jobs failing after three or four years all in the same places on the windows etc. I fully believe in the product, and have done for the last 15 years. We fix the windows the builders walk away from.”
