Q. My windows are painted so I don't know what sort of wood they are.
A. All the products can be used on all types of timber.
Q. Can it be used on cedar stained windows?
A. Yes we can tint the resin with water based wood stain so it’s a similar colour to the timber and once re stained it’s much harder to spot the repair.
Q. The putty on my windows keeps coming out and I have had it redone several times but the problem keeps recurring.
A. By replacing the putty with Dry seal glazing sealant will cure this problem for good. It will never crack or fall out and can be painted the next day which is a big plus if you have scaffold up.
Q. Can you paint over repair care?
A. Yes once cured you treat it as timber.
Q. Is it effected by U.V.?
A. Once painted or stained over the complete range is fully protected from UV.
Q. Will the rot come back?
A. No. The products work by blocking the capillaries of the timber and by stopping several of the key elements the rot needs to survive making it impossible for the rot to return.
